New Paradigms for Corporate Governance Discussed at 20TH EIASM WORKSHOP in St. Gallen
Corporate governance is changing its paradigm to the new financial and economic reality which is oriented towards sustainable development. The central pillars of corporate governance moved towards ESG which imposed to consider new factors such as Ethical AI and managing the people's data, gender diversity etc. that were captured into the concept introduced by President of the Swiss Institute of Directors, called “Diversity Optima”: these were among the main discussed topics at the 20TH EIASM WORKSHOP ON CORPORATE GOVERNANCE.

HSE Best Russian-Language Scientific and Popular Science Papers Competition Results
On June 6th, within the framework of the HSE Best Russian-Language Scientific and Popular Science Papers Competition, the paper “Relationship between Regional Socio-Economic Development and Corporate Ratings of Russian Companies” presented by the team of authors: Irina Ivashkovskaya, Elena Makeeva, Konstantin Popov and Liudmila Ruzhanskaya, became the winner in the nomination “Best Russian-Language Scientific Work”, and was awarded a certificate of honour.

HSE University’s Online Master of Business Analytics Offers New Opportunities
The English-taught fully online Master of Business Analytics is offered by HSE University on Coursera in partnership with the AICPA Association. The first cohort will start their classes in September 2021. The programme aims to train a new generation of finance leaders. Working together with AICPA Association allows HSE University to significantly expand the range of educational options available to students.

Intangible Assets are More Important Than Tangibles
The HSE School of Finance recently held a roundtable discussion dedicated to public non-financial reporting. The keynote presentation was delivered by Stefano Zambon, Professor at the University of Ferrara (Italy), who is also the Chairman of the World Intellectual Capital Initiative (WICI), a global network engaged in the systematization and dissemination of information on the intellectual capital indicators and modes for presenting it in non-financial reporting.

Topics will include measuring and assessing companies’ intellectual capital, research on corporate financial decisions, and for Russian and foreign post-graduate students, the second annual PhD seminar on financial markets and corporate financial policy will take place.

The 11 educational courses completed in the first year of HSE's cooperation with Coursera won an audienec of 300,000. The courses' lecturers talked about how they succeeded in doing this at a round table at HSE.

It was organized by EIASM (the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management).
