Rus' and the Medieval World

This programme trains comprehensive historians with professional knowledge in Russian medieval history. Rus’ is treated as a part of European civilisation and global historic processes, and its history is studied in a global comparative perspective with an interdisciplinary approach. Classical subjects are combined with courses in modern information technology aimed at digitalising, storing, processing, and analysing historical data.

Graduates of the programme can work not only in fundamental research, but also in public history, popular science projects, and cultural administration.
