The Next HSE Staff and Student Conference Will be Held in May
A revised draft of the 2030 HSE Development Programme will be reviewed.
Why Another Conference is Being Held
The previous general meeting of university staff and student representatives was held on March 20. At the meeting, they elected new members to the HSE Academic Council and HSE Staff Union, approved the results of the 2020 HSE Development Programme and reviewed the main provisions of the new development program which spans to 2030.
Although the provisions of the new programme were generally approved, the conference participants made a number of proposals that they decided to take into account in finalising this fundamental document for the university. In order to finalise the programme, a commission and working groups were formed in ten areas: education, personnel, basic and applied research, expert-analytical work, business education, infrastructure, social mission, infrastructure, international activities, as well as finance and management. The results of the work of these groups were presented and approved by the HSE Academic Council at a meeting on April 26. Now the fully revised programme has been submitted again for approval by the conference.
What's on the Agenda
The only agenda item is to review the draft of the National Research University Higher School of Economics 2030 Development Programme.
Who Will be the Conference Delegates?
There are no plans to elect new delegates. Current members of the academic council (in accordance with the HSE Charter), as well as HSE staff and students elected by delegates of the previous conference held on March 20, will serve as the conference delegates.
