HSE Professor Appointed Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Polina Kryuchkova, HSE professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the City of Moscow, as the new Deputy Minister of Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development. Dr. Kryuchkova will oversee the Ministry’s macroeconomic analysis and forecasting.
Dr. Kryuchkova holds a Doctor of Sciences degree in Economic Theory and has been teaching at HSE University since 2009. She is the Programme Supervisor of the Department of Applied Economics and a Leading Research Fellow at HSE’s Institute for Industrial and Market Studies. Recognized by the University for her work, she currently teaches a course on economics and law as well as several research seminars in the master’s programme.
In addition to teaching, Polina Kryuchkova has worked as a Department Head at the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and, since 2015, she has served as Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the City of Moscow.
