In 2015, the international master's programme in English will launch, called Applied and Interdisciplinary History 'Usable Pasts'.The programme is headed by Associate Professor at the School of History of the St Petersburg Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Julia Lajus.
Joint MA Programmes: A View from Italy
A press conference on further development of the double degree programme took place at the University of Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy. University Rector Alessandro Rugieri said that, in Italy people understand how important cooperation with Russia is – in particular cooperation with HSE in Nizhny Novgorod – which is home to over a million residents and plays a key role in the country’s economic life.
HSE and Lappeenranta University of Technology to launch exchange programme in 2015
Agreements have been signed on a student exchange programme between the HSE and Finland’s Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT). The documents also call for the creation of dual-degree master’s programmes between the two universities.
Global Business MA Programme now available at HSE Nizhny Novgorod
HSE Nizhny Novgorod has launched a new MA programme that aims to develop the professional and interpersonal skills managers need to work in the global economy. HSE master’s students to study alongside students from the University of Maryland
Joint classes will begin in February 2015 for first-year master’s students in the State and Local Administration programme at HSE’s St. Petersburg campus and students in the Urban Studies and Planning master’s programme at the University of Maryland (U.S.). Classes will be held in the format of video conferences and take place once a week over the course of three semesters.
HSE Student at IBM Best Student Recognition Event
In July, IBM brought 70 of the best students from across Europe to Prague for the annual IBM Best Student Recognition Event. Representing the Higher School of Economics at the forum was Alexei Khokhlov, a graduate of the Faculty of Business Informatics and a Master’s student in the E-business programme.
Applied Cultural Studies Programme Offering New Museum Studies Courses
In the new academic year, HSE’s Master’s Programme in Applied Cultural Studies is offering three new courses developed together with the Polytechnic Museum, Reinwardt Academie (Amsterdam, Netherlands), and the University of Leicester's School of Museum Studies (Leicester, Great Britain). The courses are called ‘Museology,’ ‘Museums in the Digital Age,’ and ‘Curating in the Modern Museum’.
