The HSE Committee on Interuniversity Surveys and Ethical Assessment of Empirical Research

The HSE Committee on Interuniversity Surveys and Ethical Assessment of Empirical Research is analogue of the ethics committees in foreign universities (Institutional Review Board, Ethical Review Board, Independent Ethics Committee, and others). It focuses on the following tasks:

  1. Providing HSE staff and students with a decision on whether a research project conforms to ethical standards in modern social sciences;
  2. Evaluating the suitability and appropriateness of surveys of prospective, postgraduate and other students, and the HSE staff.

The information on the committee work, structure, and patterns of applications for staff and students are available on this page.
