About the Committee
The establishment of the HSE Committee on Interuniversity Surveys and Ethical Assess of Empirical Research was approved at the session of the Academic Council on September 27, 2013. The Committee is analogue of the ethics committees that exist in foreign universities (Institutional Review Board, Ethical Review Board, Independent Ethics Committee, and others). It focuses on implementing the following tasks:

Providing HSE staff and students with a decision on whether a research project conforms to ethical standards in modern social sciences;

Evaluating the suitability and appropriateness of surveys of prospective, postgraduate and other students, and the HSE staff.
