HSE offers the best finance programme for foreign students in Russia
Lin Yang entered ICEF Master’s Programme in Financial Economics after completing his bachelor in the United States, and believes that Russia provides unrivalled rigorous mathematical training. Lin currently serves as Investment Director of Eurasia Region at China Railway Construction Corporation International Investment Group. He talked about the features of Liberal Arts colleges, how neurosciences help in financial forecasting, and how the ICEF alumni community is useful for work.
ICEF graduation ceremony hosted by HSE Cultures Centre
ICEF hosted its first in-person graduation ceremony since the pandemic led to restrictions. Diplomas were awarded to two classes. Hosted by HSE Cultures Centre, the day-long ceremony unfolded in sessions, one for Bachelor’s students and one for Master’s. Congratulating graduands were the faculty of ICEF HSE and professors of the University of London (LU) and the London School of Economics (LSE).

MSc in Financial Economics, offered by ICEF, has been ranked 89th out of 166 programmes. In total, five HSE programmes were included in the QS Business Rankings this year.

This year, the Master’s Programme ‘Strategic Management in Logistics’, offered by the HSE Graduate School of Business, ranked 34th in the Supply Chain Management Programme ranking, a new addition to the QS Business Masters Rankings. HSE Professors Alexander Tarasov and Roman Zakharenko have received the Gaidar Award for Young Economists for their article on the connection between trade costs and defense spending. A special award also went to the paper ‘Bad News: An Experimental Study on the Informational Effects of Rewards,’ whose authors include HSE Associate Professor Anton Suvorov.
