From 2011 to the present, he has been working first at the ITAS department, then at the computer engineering department of MIEM A.N. Tikhonov National Research University Higher School of Economics as an associate professor.
Polesskiy S.N. has experience in conducting all types of training sessions: giving lectures, conducting practical and laboratory classes with students. All types of classes are conducted at a high methodological level. Classes were held in the courses "ES Quality Management", "Fundamentals of ES Reliability" of the RET Department, the courses "Automation of design and technological design", "Automation of design work in CAD" of the ITAS department.
Currently, he conducts classes for bachelors in the direction "Informatics and Computer Engineering" in the discipline "Automation of design work" and for undergraduates in the direction "Informatics and Computer Engineering" specialization "Computer Modeling of Engineering and Technology" in the following disciplines: "Schematic modeling of electronic equipment "," Computer-aided design of radio-electronic equipment "and" Modeling and ensuring the reliability of radio electronic means ".
In addition to teaching students, I participate in the training of highly qualified personnel. He is the supervisor of undergraduates at MIEM them. A.N. Under his leadership in 2013-2019. projects were carried out within the framework of the Design and Study Group "Reliability of Ground-Based Scientific Complexes", which included students, graduate students and teachers, such as:
- research of indicators of reliability, maintainability and complex indicators of the automatic control system of gas-switching units (customer LLC "Vega-GAZ");
- conducting a comprehensive study of the reliability indicators of the ground-based scientific complex for processing telemetric information from scientific instruments of spacecraft "Resonance" (customer Space Research Institute RAS);
- study of the reliability of the ground-based scientific complex for the orbital astrophysical observatory "SPEKTR-X-RENTGEN-GAMMA" (customer Space Research Institute RAS);
- calculation of the device reliability BU SOTR SC "SPEKTR-X-RENTGEN-GAMMA" (customer Space Research Institute RAS);
- a comprehensive assessment of the reliability of the selected technical solutions when creating a ground-based scientific complex of the Russian part of the space system for exploring Mars of the ExoMars project (customer Space Research Institute RAS);
- research of reliability and design of spare parts for the Russian part of the space system for the exploration of Mars of the project "ExoMars" mission 2020 (customer Space Research Institute RAS);
- creation of a database on the characteristics of the reliability of the electronic component base of domestic production of the PC ASONIKA-K-SCh (customer "Almaz – Antey" Air and Space Defence Corporation).
During his time at MIEM, the Higher School of Economics participated in the implementation of state budget and contractual R&D, performing the functions of an executor, executive officer, researcher, senior researcher.
In 2012, he was awarded the MIEM Certificate of Honor for many years of fruitful work in the training of highly qualified specialists and in connection with the 50th anniversary of MIEM.
In 2015, as part of a research team, he became the Laureate of the Government Prize in the field of science and technology for young scientists for the development and implementation of information technology for managing the reliability of electronic means.
