Round Table “Methodological Problems of Modern Regional Studies”
On October 29, 2024, as part of the VI International Conference “The World Majority towards a New International Order”, a round table session titled “Methodological Problems of Modern Regional Studies” was held.
Students of HSE and SFedU Double Degree Programme Visit Their Second Alma Mater
Since 2022, HSE University and the Southern Federal University (SFedU) have been implementing a joint bachelor's programme ‘The Caucasus and the Middle East in the System of Regional and International Relations.’ Education takes place in Rostov-on-Don, with HSE professors mostly involved in the process remotely. In late April 2024, some of the top students from the programme were invited for a week to HSE University, where they participated in various educational and scientific events.
BRICS Cooperation in Science and Education
Igor Kovalev, Professor of the School of International Affairs and Alina Shcherbakova, Associate Professor of the School of World Economy, have recently published the paper “BRICS Cooperation in Science and Education” in the scientific journal “Strategic Analysis” (Q2).
International conference “Modernization of Governance: Perspectives from Russia and China”
The international conference “Modernization of Governance: Perspectives from Russia and China” was held at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, Higher School of Economics. On September 30, a delegation of scientists from Zhejiang University, China, visited the Higher School of Economics at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. During the visit, a joint conference as well as a scientific seminar were organized.

Second International Student Conference ‘Russia and Egypt: Joint Future’
On September 26th, 2016, the 2nd International Student Conference ‘Russia and Egypt: Joint Future’ was held at HSE. The event was organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs with the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Egyptian Youth National Organization. Students and doctoral students from Cairo University and several Russian universities took part in the event.
