Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course is a communicative course of the Russian language as foreign. It consists of several conversational topics, the study of which will allow students to communicate more freely in certain life situations. Particular attention is paid to the game, pair and group work of students. in the lesson, as this increases interest in classes and helps to assimilate and consolidate the active vocabulary of the course.
Learning Objectives
- Students able to follow and understand a range of spoken materials including announcements and discussions about everyday life.
- improving oral communication skills in specific life situations;
- students will be able to understand simple everyday communication
- Shows how good student's spoken Russian is as students take part in conversation by asking/answering questions and talking, for example, about their likes and dislikes.
- further students overcoming the psychological language barrier,
- students will know vocabulary on the topics listed in syllabus

- Students will know grammar and lexic constructions (Grammar: 1. Case system (nouns, adjectives, personal and possessive pronouns, and ordinal numbers): 1.1. Prepositional case, 1.2. Acusative case, 1.3. Genitive case, 1.4. Dative case, 1.5. Instrumental case)
- Students will know how verbs work in Russian language. Russian verb: .1. Verbs of motion, including prefixed verbs.2. Aspects and tenses of Russian verb 3. Reflexive verbs 4. Conjugation, type 1 and type 2
- Can produce simple connected text ontopics which are familiar or of personal interest.
- Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Can describe experiences and events, dreams,hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
- Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environmen tand matters in areas of immediate need
- Can understand the main points ofclear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure,etc.
- Can understand the mainideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation
