Abstract
This is the program of a four-year German language course. The course has no prerequisites and is thus suitable for students who have never learned German before, although we can form advanced-level groups comprising those students who already possess solid knowledge and are willing to build on it. The target proficiency level is B2. We start with the basic grammar concepts and simple topics like eating out and traveling, while at the end of the course you'll be able to effortlessly discuss virtually any socioeconomic issue and easily communicate with your German-speaking business or academic partners in their native language, both verbally and in writing. Our lessons involve a great deal of interaction and offer a variety of study materials in the text, audio, and video formats.
Learning Objectives
- - Students will learn the grammar required to reach the B2 level (including, e.g., Konjunktiv I-II)
- Students will be able to comprehend authentic text and audio materials by mass media or sources unaccustomed to dealing with non-native speakers - German movies (without subtitles), laws, contracts, technical instructions, etc.
