Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course covers fundamental aspects of analytics communication and data visualization for business and academic audiences. The topics covered in the course include communication strategy and tools, techniques and best practices of data visualization as well as the main principles of public speaking. The key learning outcomes of the course is the ability to identify efficient ways of conveying information to the target audience based on the use of the most effective techniques of data analysis, data visualisation, data storytelling and public speaking.
Learning Objectives
- UC-5 The ability to work with information; to find, evaluate and use information, from various sources, that is necessary to solve scientific and professional assignments (including assignments that have to be solved in a systematic way)
- UC-8 The ability to build effective methods of communication based on the objectives and situation of the communication
- PC-19 The ability to analyze the behavior of consumers of economic goods and the formation of demand
- PC-20 The ability to conduct an analysis of the competitive environment
- PC-31 The ability to collect, process, and analyze data necessary for solving research tasks
