Abstract

"Introduction to Affective Science" is an elective course introducing to the field of affective science and for the Bachelor’s Program "Psychology". Affective science is an interdisciplinary field that comprises studies of emotion and other affective phenomena. It includes psychology, neuroscience, sociology, anthropology, artificial intelligence, and other disciplines. The rapid development of this field makes it necessary to know basic theories and main empirical findings. The author and teacher of the course is Dmitry Lyusin, a research fellow of the Laboratory of Cognitive Research of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. He has considerable teaching experience including reading the related courses such as “Psychology of Cognition”, “Affective Modulation of Cognitive Processes”, “Emotion and Cognition”, and “Modern Psychology of Emotion”.
