Course Syllabus
Abstract
The Mentor seminar is the core of the degree program (DP), as it helps students build an individual learning trajectory in accordance with the available courses of the curriculum and the professional expectations of students. Under the guidance of the academic supervisor of the DP, students will have to create a personalized set of disciplines to study, including core courses of the curriculum, elective courses, additional inter-campus courses and courses from the all-university pool of courses MagoLego. The seminar is also intended to guide students on the implementation of practical training elements (PTEs) that are integral parts of the curriculum, including the choice of topics for projects and term papers, topics and places of internship and topics for final qualifying work (FQW) - Master's Thesis. Within the framework of this seminar, students will develop skills in working with information sources, both digital and paper, writing scientific and research papers in order to maximize the effectiveness of students' independent work throughout the entire period of study under the Degree Program.
Learning Objectives
- The seminar is aimed at developing students' skills in managing their own learning process, in the evolution of successes and difficulties, in setting and achieving goals within the framework of learning and practice on the Degree Program.

- Conducts exploratory research, analysis and evaluation of digital innovations
- Analyzes his own progress along an individual educational trajectory
- Correlates his educational plans and the landscape of expertise in the field of business analytics and big data systems
- Forms tasks for the research of new markets, monitors the progress of research and accepts their results
- Conducts search and analysis of the most relevant academic and applied research in the field of business analytics and big data systems
- Justifies his choice of individual elements of the curriculum
- Correlates its educational plans with the structural elements of the educational program
