Course Syllabus

Abstract

The Mentor Seminar for Master students on the Professional Trajectory “International News Production” (second module of the first year) is designed for the Master students to work on developing professional skills relevant to their future work and to master the disciplines of the trajectory together an academic mentor. This includes writing news briefs, producing oral presentations and developing on-camera communication skills, conducting interviews, gathering, and analysing facts and previous events in news briefs, formulating key research points for coursework and graduation thesis, presenting research findings to the programme supervisors and leading practitioners in international journalism and at the end of each year of study.

  • The key goal is to develop students' understanding of the new Master's degree standards, the specifics of the professional trajectories of the Contemporary Journalism programme, and communication innovations in the profession. This also includes mastering the skills of oral presentation, searching for meaningful information, and the fundamentals of future international news production professionals.
