Abstract

The course "Introduction to the History of Art" provides a short and rich excursion into the history of painting, sculpture and architecture, which will help students not only become competent in the analysis of works of classical art, but also see the imprint that historical phenomena leave on modern culture. Thanks to this course, you will learn to see the beauty of ancient paintings, understand the language of architecture, and feel the plasticity of ancient statues. Not only will you be able to get a clear picture of the styles that have succeeded each other in the history of art, but you will also understand the internal logic that determined the character of each of them.
