Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course focuses on the comparison of labor market in Europe and Asia. By studying the talent management policies, specific cases in different countries, historical development, equality situation in Europe and Asia to help students form their perspectives on labor market.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the concept of labor, labor market, talent, talent management
- Understand talent management trends in Europe and Asia
- Gain perspective on women’s status in Europe and Asia
- Gain general understanding of the phenomenon of labor in Asia

- Introduction. Changing of the labor market landscape in Europe and Asia at the end of XX-beginning XXI century
- Comparison of Talent management trends in Europe and Asia
- Changes of women’s status in Europe
- Changes of women’s status in Asia: main trends of gender labor participation in Asia. Case of China, India and South Korea
- The phenomenon of labor in Asia: difficulties with employment of graduates and the acute shortage of labor. On example of China
- Labor force in India & group presentation
