Abstract

The Asia-Pacific unite the greatest economies and resources, thus is the “center of gravity of world’s politics and economy”. Territorial disputes, the presence of the five nuclear powers, as well as the increasing China-US tensions, however, are the challenges and risks for the regional security and the national security of each of the 58 countries of the Asia-Pacific, that force them to revise the effectiveness of the current security diplomacy and its institutions, being in search for new alliances and strategies. US and allies in their national security strategies rely on the US military power and the US-centric blocks of "Indo-Pacific", QUAD, AUKUS, etc., containing China and fighting Russia. China and India are committed to close strategic partnership with Russia. Russia is opposing block-based US-centric initiatives, seeing, according to its National Security Strategy, the goals of Russian foreign policy in support for the regional multilateral institutions and development of the cooperation with all states in the region. How are the national security strategies of the key powers of the region developing, which of them more effectively reduce the risks both for the countries themselves and for the region in terms of security? We are going to find the answers due the course. Along the way, deepening the theoretical understanding of security concepts, levels and types of the security, evolution of the security system in Asia-Pacific region.
