Аннотация
The course "Fundamentals of international corporate competitiveness" introduces students to the main factors and patterns that determine competitiveness in the international market. The course program pays attention to features of doing business in different countries, quantitative (including financial) analysis, project, operational and strategic management as tools for maintaining and increasing international corporate competitiveness. Within the course students will be able to develop skills necessary for managerial decision-making. The course is practice-oriented and comprises business cases analysis, master classes and business games.
Цель освоения дисциплины
- The purpose of the course "Fundamentals of international corporate competitiveness” is to form a holistic perception among master’s students of a set of factors that determine competitiveness in the international market, as well as to improve basic skills aimed at effective management in international business. To achieve this goal, a practice-oriented approach to submitting material is used. Along with covering theoretical provisions, great emphasis is attached to analyzing business cases and conducting master classes with representatives of international companies and experts in such fields as finance, information technology, management and modeling.

- Describes the stages of development and modern approaches to assessing and forecasting competitiveness in the formation of a structure of external and internal factors for analyzing the competitiveness of international market participants
- Identifies the features of doing business in different countries, weighs alternatives when making decisions on justifying the rational structure of the territorial location of an international company and the list of features of activities in the selected locations
- Develops management decisions based on the formed vision of the knowledge structure for developing management decisions and the composition of factors determining their effectiveness
- Uses a three-circuit model for assessing and forecasting competitiveness based on a core competencies matrix.
- Defines the conditions for achieving system balance for business cases and case studies that have gained wide use.
- Uses the provisions of the system approach, analyzes its components and determines their development trends when making management decisions
- Identifies and analyzes performance indicators of an international company based on structuring the necessary knowledge areas and formed skills.
- Determines the areas of responsibility of functional units based on the acquired skills of decomposition of tasks arising in the process of activities in an international company
- Develops and implements projects on the international market considering the impact of achieved project indicators on the international company's performance based on structuring the necessary knowledge areas, formed skills and professional competencies.
- Uses modern modeling methods applied in working on the international market and a formed vision of their importance to improve the efficiency of international companies and state bodies.
- Develops and implements a development strategy of an international company based on the structuring of the necessary knowledge areas, formed skills and development of professional competencies.
- Develops management decisions when coordinating the terms of investment projects under conditions of interaction between business and the state based on the acquired knowledge, skills and professional competencies aimed at forming target settings, collecting information, preparing materials.
