Abstract
The course "New Approaches to Language Larning and Teaching" is designed for undergraduate students interested in the latest methodologies and technological tools in language education. It explores cutting-edge approaches and practical applications to enhance language acquisition and teaching effectiveness.
Learning Objectives
- Enhance Vocabulary Teaching Skills Develop the ability to teach vocabulary effectively using advanced strategies, such as contextual learning, mnemonic devices, and interactive tools, to ensure long-term retention and practical application.
- Integrate Multimedia into Pedagogy Learn how to incorporate video platforms and multimedia content into teaching practices to cater to diverse learning styles and enhance student engagement.
- Strengthen Reading Instruction Techniques Master evidence-based strategies for improving reading comprehension and critical thinking, including scaffolding, text analysis, and the use of authentic reading materials.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence in Education Acquire skills in utilizing neural networks and AI tools for personalized learning, automated assessments, and efficient classroom management while understanding ethical considerations.
- Improve Auditory Instruction Methods Gain expertise in designing effective auditory exercises and employing active listening techniques to enhance students’ listening comprehension and auditory processing skills.
