Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course is aimed at studying theoretical and practical aspects of strategic management in the public sector. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively design, implement and evaluate strategic initiatives in the public sector.

  • • Prepare students to evaluate project management practices in public sector enterprises/organizations • Outline how strategic management can be used in public sector enterprises/organizations cases • Explain how the economic, political/legal, financial environment and global trends affect the conduct of strategic management. • Develop the ability to analyze the companies and identify its vulnerabilities • To develop an understanding of how companies develop strategies in public sector enterprises/organizations • To use examples to show exactly how firms build strategies in public sector enterprises/organizations
