Course Syllabus
Abstract
The discipline covers the important aspects of analytics communication and data visualization for business and academic audiences. Modules of the course comprise communication strategy and tools, techniques and best practices of data visualization as well as the fundamental topics and key concepts of public speaking. Fundamentally, the key learning outcomes of the course refer to understanding efficient ways to convey information to the target audience.

Course Contents
- Analytics CommunicationThis topic comprises the key concept and initial points of Analytics Communication as well as the main principles of how to drive intelligence through an efficient communication plan.
- Data VisualizationThe general principles of Data Visualization are explained as well as some corresponding digital tools and sources of datasets are presented.
- Public SpeakingIt starts with approaches to preparation of the presentation, delivery and assessment of its quality. The second sub-topic focuses on the audience’ engagement and management of emotions. The final sub-topic is about tools and means for presentation.
- Academic PresentationThis topic covers how to prepare and deliver academic speeches, such as Dissertation and Thesis defenses as well as Conferences’ presentations.
