Learning Objectives

  • This course aims to introduce students to basic concepts of translinguistics and transcultural communication as well as to explore how these theoretical premises can be practically applied in the domain of cross-cultural communication. The course has a practical goal of developing skills in the fluid use of linguistic and semiotic resources in diverse communities as well as familiarizing students with linguistically sound methods for creating languages and cultures

  • For students to examine the origines of planned languages
  • For students to become familiar with the concept of interlinguistics
  • For students to be able to carry out the transdisciplinary study of a linguacultural phenomenon by means of transmodern linguistic research methods
  • For students to familiarise themselves with the concept and structure of artificial languages and language construction kit
  • For students to familiarise themselves with world Englishes to be able to differentiate between them
