Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course is designed for Bachelor's students mastering English within a Management curriculum. The course is designed to help the students communicate effectively in the workspace using the language of business, building effective business communications. The course offers practical training in functional business skills such as collaboration, challenging conversations, presentations, analysing risk and maintaining relationships, which allows for personalization of the learning experience with a structured modular approach that gives the flexibility to focus on specific needs and learning outcomes.The course is based on authentic materials from The Financial Times and The New York Times and encourages students to engage in a variety of topics, from career to social media, sustainability, impact investment, globalization, and many others. Besides reading and watching authentic content that has not been adapted for non-native speakers, the students get engaged in research, pair- and group-work to investigate the world of business and practice communication skills that are vital for entrepreneurs and managers.
