The present PhD thesis aims to identify the digital dimensions of corporate intangibles, validate metrics for the components of digital intangibles, and consider them as inputs in companies' production function. The PhD thesis is grounded in the three-component framework of corporate intangibles, encompassing human, relational, and structural capital. The research questions are elaborated theoretically and empirically, using advanced data mining and econometric methods applied to extensive databases of Russian and European companies. As a result, we delve into the essence of digital corporate intangibles by providing detailed descriptions and quantifiable metrics for the digital aspects of the three corporate intangible components. Furthermore, the empirical results demonstrate evidence of both linear and nonlinear relationships between the digital dimensions of structural and relational capital and a company's performance. Additionally, we examine the implicit value of digital human capital as conveyed by companies in their job advertisements. From a theoretical point of view, the thesis extends current scientific knowledge about the digital dimensions of intangibles and their relationship with corporate performance. From a practical standpoint, the results of the empirical analysis within the thesis can serve as a foundation for data-driven decisions that enable companies to select and pursue strategies to enhance their value.

The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate acquisition, production and processing of case in Russian as a second language (L2). Three papers were selected for the defense. The first one is a corpus study based on a collection of texts produced by Catalan-Spanish learners of Russian with different proficiency levels. The other two analyze case form processing in native speakers and L2 readers using experimental methods: self-paced reading and grammaticality judgment.Very few studies focus on the L2 acquisition of the case system as a whole, either in Russian or in other morphologically rich languages, and experimental studies of L2 case processing in a sentential context are also sparse. The dissertation aims to fill this gap. It addresses two major research questions. Firstly, in which order are cases acquired in Russian as an L2, and what factors predetermine this order? Secondly, do L1 and (proficient) L2 readers rely on the same processing mechanisms? The dissertation provides a much more detailed picture of case system acquisition than the one that can be found in the previous studies. The conclusions may be relevant for the L2 acquisition of other morphologically complex categories in other languages. As for the question concerning processing mechanisms, the dissertation suggests a novel way of addressing it: testing whether L2 learners develop native-like processing problems. As a result, the dissertation supports the approaches assuming that the mechanisms for L1 and L2 processing are the same, but L2 processing is more cognitively demanding and therefore slower.

The papers collected in Natalia Slioussar’s dissertation are dedicated to the experimental study of inflectional morphology in Russian. Six papers study the relevance of several core concepts from theoretical morphology for language production and processing. These concepts include morphological regularity, productivity, feature markedness, different types of syncretism. As a result of this enterprise, we also learn something new about these concepts, so the main idea of the dissertation is to show how theory and experiment can interact fruitfully. The seventh paper presents a lexical database that contains more than 50 thousand Russian words with more than 1.7 million word forms characterized for more than 70 different parameters. It can be used to facilitate stimulus selection for experimental research. The papers study production and processing of isolated word forms and word forms in a sentence (primarily on the example of number and gender agreement) and in a wider discourse context, using behavioral and neuroimaging methods.
